Richard Grabow ~ Innkeeper

My journey in hospitality began in 1967 in Greenwich, Connecticut.By the late 1970s, I was investing in seasonal hotels and cottages across Florida’s Gulf Coast. After decades of full-time innkeeping, I found myself drawn to Winona and the extraordinary Alexander Mansion.
In 2011, I purchased the home, captivated by its historic architecture, welcoming reception hall, library, and expansive grounds. I envisioned a home where guests could experience refined comfort, generous breakfasts, and authentic conversation in an elegant, adult-only setting.
Preparing our daily multi-course breakfast is my favorite part of the day. Around the table, guests share knowledge, laughter, and stories that often linger long after the last cup of coffee.
It’s not just hospitality–it’s a life well-lived in the company of others.
